Watlow Strip Heaters

Watlow's strip/clamp-on heaters are a versatile solution for a number of applications. They can be bolted or clamped to a solid surface for freeze and moisture protection, food warming and other applications. These heaters make use of the most advanced heat construction technique.

The Watlow strip heater is named for its 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) thickness, the Watlow® 375 strip heater is a rugged heater capable of both high temperatures and high watt densities.

The Watlow 375 strip heater's ruggedness comes from the design and use of choice materials. Watlow begins construction of the strip heater by accurately placing a coiled, nickel-chromium element wire in the center of the heater. The element wire is then embedded in MgO-based insulation compacted into a solid mass resulting in excellent heat conductivity and high dielectric strength. Finally, the strip heater is enclosed in aluminized steel sheathing. Maximum operating Temperature is 1100 degrees.

Applications are Food Warming, Freeze and Moisture Protection, Tank and Platen heating, packaging, Dies and mold heating, Autoclaves, Ovens and telecommunications.
